if you need a little advice:
- not sure if you should take the leap? if fear is the only thing holding you back, go for it. if there’s more to it, write out the details of the decision on a sheet of paper or on your phone, close your eyes for 10 seconds (keep your phone or a piece of paper in your line of sight), and when you open them, scan through the details and go with whatever your automatic reaction is. you don’t have all the time in the world, either take the leap, or move on and find something else to spend your time on.
- not sure if you should stay in a relationship with someone? Think about everything you do for them, really think about how much you love and care for them, what you would do for them and then reverse it. If they’re not reciprocating, leave. find someone who loves and cares about you just as much as you love and care about them. this isn’t a young adult love story or a fanfiction, unbalanced love, whether it’s platonic or romantic, is draining and something you shouldn’t have to deal with. it is not endearing in any way, shape or form.
- when was the last time you actually felt sunlight on your skin? if you feel like you don’t have enough time to really walk around for an hour or so, sit next to the window, open your shutters if you can, close your eyes, feel the warmth on your skin, think about something or something that makes you feel just as warm but inside your skin, think of two more things, open your eyes, grab yourself a glass of water and get on with your day.
- not sure whether you should take a break? if someone who you trust were to ask you how you were doing, and you were to answer truthfully, think about your response. if it’s even mildly negative, physically step away from your desk, and do something else a little more refreshing with your time.
